OOAK fairy wings   

   You are bidding on one medium pair of semi-opaque  wings, hand-crafted by artist "Suedinym" (Sue Jensen).

These wings are suitable for OOAK polymer clay, cloth or altered art fantasy dolls and sculptures, or to give a new look to your fashion dolls, Barbies, babies, bears and repaints.

Each set of wings is individually made, by hand. There may be slight variations in the design from wing to wing, which are due to their handcrafted origin. They are delicate but semi-flexible and partially  posable.  Each wing is approximately 4 inches total  from top to bottom, and 2 3/8" wide. The combined wingspan is approximately 5". Measurements L  W Upper wing 2" 2 1/4" Lower wing 2" 2 1/4" Extended wires are about 1" long, but may be trimmed with wire cutters. The wires on the wings in this auction were not clipped when I took the photo, as they were still drying.

These wings can be attached to cloth dolls by sewing through the wire loop, and over the extended wire.  To insert in a polymer clay sculpture, clip the loop off at your desired length and insert it in the sculpture after baking. These wings can be inserted into a pre-baked doll. They can NOT  be baked. (See diagram right -------->)

Materials List

19 gauge posable wire rice paper translucent micro beads clear enamel I do use a 'jig' (board with nails in it) to help me form the initial bends in the wire, because I don't want to develop repetitive motion injuries in my hands from twisting the wire in a particular direction with jewelry pliers or other tools. This also helps me maintain a consistent level of quality. As there are 12 primary, secondary and tertiary colors--- as well as myriad base materials, techniques and embellishments to work with, each pair of wings produced remains a truly unique, OOAK item which takes many hours to complete.

Shipping and Handling fee for this item includes packaging and Delivery Confirmation. This item qualifies for combined shipping, meaning similar items purchased the same week may be shipped together. I will combine/discount shipping on multiple purchases, when possible. Shipping insurance is suggested/required on this item.
